If the battery isnâ t the problem the issue may be with the fob itself.
Rear door lock not working.
A fuse is blown.
After several weeks of that door not functioning properly it miraculously returned to normal at the same time the right front door lock started to act up.
If you are working on the rear doors of a four door sedan make sure that you turn off the child safety lock to test the repaired door lock actuator correctly.
My left rear door lock stopped working so the dealer blamed the actuator.
If the door lock actuator is operating correctly opening the interior door handle will override the door lock actuator.
A week or so after replacing the actuator on that door the right rear door began failing to operate.
This is one of the most common reasons why your car door lock is not working.
If only one door lock actuator isn t working chances are it s not the control module there are exceptions however.
The key fob battery is dead.
Very easy fix scott the harder you work the luckier you are.
If you re having problems with inconsistent door lock operation and your actuators are controlled by a module start by pulling the fuse for that module and then re installing it a few minutes later.
