Some units will actually reconnect themselves but this is not typically the case.
Reconnect garage door emergency release.
You need to check the release handle and make sure that it is on the track.
The emergency release cord disconnects the trolley through attachment point from the opener carriage so that the door can slide along the track without the automated carriage.
An emergency release cord on the garage door arm opens the trolley to allow you to disengage the garage door from the opener.

Tie a single overhand knot in the cord about an inch from the end.
