Refrigerator drip pan overflow.
You may see water dripping from refrigerator ceiling around the back vent area.
Excessive frost caused by a leaking door seal can also cause the defrost drain pan to overflow.
It seems to fill to overflowing about 4 5 days after each time all the water is removed.
It will then overflow the vents during the next defrost cycle and you will then see water in refrigerator.
If it s full empty it.
As the drain pan is full to overflowing it would seem the freezer is draining just fine.
Due to moist conditions algae and bacteria can easily clog a drainpipe.

Remove the drip pan.
A clogged drain inside the freezer or refrigerator compartment can lead to water overflow.
The drain pan can also be cracked.
Check the drain pan for cracks and clean out any foreign objects that may be inside the drain pan.

Instead of the defrost water going down the drain it freezes up in the freezer defrost pan.

The defrost drain hole in the freezer is clogged with ice and or debris.
Once you ve disconnected your fridge unscrew the lower back panel pop it off with a putty knife or screwdriver and slide the drip pan out.
The water in the drain pan is just not being evaporated the evaporator pan that is below the entire unit not in the freezer or refrigerator.
A clogged or cracked defrost drain tube could also cause the leak.
You should also unplug your fridge so you don t shock yourself.
