All i have done is turned on the porch light during the night and turned on the color night vision in video settings.

It seems there is not enough light that even with the night vision the doorbell is unable to make out anything beyond your front door. Your ring pro requires a power source that supplies a minimum of 16 volts ac. Poor wiring may lead to video freezing and night vision issues therefore.

Andy t 11 21 2018 reply. I covered the three infrared lights with black tape turned on the color night vision and the porch light and i get a good picture that way otherwise it s black and white and you cant see anything but shadows with the porch light on or off.
